About ESL Grader Teaching Assistant
Designed to support educators worldwide

ESL Grader Teaching Assistant was created to help lecturers, professors, and teachers significantly reduce the time spent grading assignments while providing consistent, detailed feedback to students.

Created by Rufus Isiorho

An accomplished English lecturer and educator with over a decade of international teaching experience. Rufus holds a Bachelor's degree from Birkbeck University of London (UK) and a Master's degree focused on composition pedagogy and second language acquisition in academic writing contexts.

Throughout his career, Rufus has taught in diverse educational settings across multiple continents, working with students from varied linguistic and cultural backgrounds. His experience spans community colleges, universities, and online platforms, giving him deep insight into the challenges educators face when assessing written work at scale. He has developed and taught courses in academic writing, professional communication, ESL composition, and critical thinking skills.

Research Interests: His scholarly work centers on student-centered learning approaches, curriculum innovation in composition and ESL instruction, effective feedback mechanisms, and the intersection of technology and pedagogy in language education. Rufus has presented at international conferences and contributed to discussions on how technology can enhance rather than diminish meaningful pedagogy.

Committed to fostering engaging and inclusive learning environments, Rufus developed ESL Grader to address a critical gap in educational technology—providing educators with intelligent tools that deliver consistent, pedagogically-sound feedback while freeing time for more meaningful instruction. He believes that the future of education lies in the thoughtful integration of AI with human expertise.

Our Mission

To empower educators with intelligent tools that streamline the grading process, allowing more time for meaningful instruction and personalized student support.

We believe that grading shouldn't consume educators' time and energy. By leveraging AI to handle the mechanical aspects of assessment, teachers can focus on what matters most: providing constructive feedback, recognizing student progress, and nurturing individual learning journeys.

ESL Grader is built on the conviction that technology should serve pedagogy, not replace it. Our tool is designed as a teaching assistant—enhancing educators' expertise and judgment, never diminishing their central role in student assessment and development.
